Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Ronald Shannon Gibby, and I live in Midwest City,Oklahoma. I am writing to in hopes that you might be able to help me. I am 39, Male, caucasion and have three children, 2 (Boys), And I have a daughter that I haven't seen but once in her life. She is 13. The oldest Chris is 21, Chris is in the Navy, Stationed in San Deigo, California. He is married and doing quite well. UPDATE on CHRIS: He is currently in Japan for the next eight months and his wife cheated on him and is now going to get a divorce from him! My son is so upset and I think he may do something stupid and ruin his career, like try to come home on emergency leave? I am so stuck and frustrated that I cannot even help my kids out! My younger son is Brandon and he is 19 and is now living with his mother. Brandon went through something no person should have to go through or experience in life period. When he was 14, on August 28th, he had seven strokes due to a softball sized tumor in his left Atria. (Atrial Mixoma) No one knew that he had this and the only reason we found out is due to the fact that he and his cousins were playing basketball and he was hit directly over his heart and that caused the tumor to break up sending (7) quarter sized pieces to his brain, causing the 7 strokes. The doctor's told me that he would surely die and that there was nothing I or anyone could do. Well that wasn't the case and by some miracle of God he lived and there is no trace of him even having the strokes. Dr. Knottcraig at children's hospital found out however that it was me and my son that was in this situation and had us flown from St. Francis in Tulsa to Children's here in Oklahoma City and did open heart surgery on him, and actually had to take his heart completly out of his body to flush out the tumor. And once he had his heart out the tumor just crumbled. He had to rebuild the left side of his heart and to this day Brandon is fine and you cannot even tell anything has ever happened to him with the exception of his Zipper (Scar on his chest). However, financially we were not. I was dealing BlackJack at the time and they were very understanding and told me to take as much time as I needed for Brandon, which ended up being about 5 months for him to get well enough that I could go back to work. I am a Critical Care Paramedic (Not practicing, but hope to get back into this) I actually worked for doctor Knottcraig at children's hospital for about 5 years. Have worked in several hospitals in the Cancer wards, Was in the military (ARMY) for about 7 years (staff sergeant) now out with an honorable medical discharge due to a single kidney from birth or (congenital). I have been a Store Manager for several business's and I was almost a pilot which I couldn't finish due to Brandon's illness. Was a rescue diver, Instructor a while back, (don't do this any longer) And so much more.....My problem is this, in September of 2009 me and my girlfriend at the time went on a cruise which was one of my dreams to the Virgin Islands, Peurto Rico, Grand Turk and a couple of other places. She decided to get jealous on the ship for no reason what so ever and start a huge fight with me during the cruise. She had two Girlfriends with her on the cruise and I had no one there. She got her things out of our cabin and stayed in their cabin, and to shorten this we split up midway through the cruise I had a horrible second half, stayed in my cabin the whole rest of the trip and she had a blast I'm sure. So when we got home I was cleaning the house and mowing and she decided to start drinking Vodka(which she doesn't drink) and decided she wanted to fight some more, she called the cops and I had to leave. I have a house next door to my parent's house but everything is off, because I was living with her at her house after another fight earlier in the year. Before we left I had gotten two tickets for speeding on the Turnpike on my way to and from work, which was 1 1/2 hours one way from where I lived. I worked in Lawton as a Store Manager for Rent 1st. The lawyer I spoke with told me not to worry about the tickets, that he and I would take care of it after I got back from the cruise. After returning home I tried reaching him and he would never return my calls was never in his office. So anyway, I had to move in with my parents after Kay decided she didn't want me there, and I didn't have a car, had to quit my career, and couldn't make it to court. So where that got me was two warrants for failure to appear, and they suspended my license, then DHS suspended my license because I didn't show up for a hearing on child support for my daughter which I have seen once in her life, but the hearing was for child support (which I have always paid even though I have only seen her once). But I didn't know about the hearing, but did get the letter telling me that my license was suspended for the second time now. I have had full court custody of both of my boy's since they were crawling and their mother had no parental rights at all. She only recently started seeing them (her choice). So what I'm telling you this for is to ask if maybe there is something you might be able to do for me financially, or job wise? I cannot go to the doctor myself because I have no insurance and cannot qualify for medicaid through the state, and I have several things medically wrong with me (scoliosis, now COPD after recently having double bacterial pneumonia and over a week long stay in Ardmore's Mercy Memorial Hospital, that was a blast! And other severe back problems, bulging disc's, protruding disc's, have had three left knee surgeries and now my circulation is not good, every part of my body goes numb if I'm sitting, standing it doesn't matter) and have to take heavy medications. I don't currently have a doctor since April of this year, and now cannot get one. I cannot file for disability because I have to be under the current care of a doctor and have MRI's etc... Like I said I am at my parents house since September and do not have any money, cannot drive because of the suspensions, can't work because of the warrant's and cannot go to the doctor even, due to no money and no insurance. My parent's cannot help because they have no money. And you find out who your true friends are when your broke and in a situation like the one I'm in. I have alway's helped whomever when and if I could afford it. But my kids are suffering due to me not being able to get back on my feet, I cannot go and see Chris in California and if anything happens out there, I wouldn't be able to do anything. I am at a loss as to what to do and cannot make anything go right for me. I am not one to ask for help ever. And I have always made my own living and provided for my children. If there is anything you might be able to do, I would greatly appreciate it so much. I will repay you when I get back on my feet, which I will, with interest! But I just have to have help with this dilemma, I have never been in such a position that I couldn't do anything at all because of being blocked every which way I turn? If you cannot or do not want to help I totally understand and appreciate you even reading this. I know there are scams out there by the thousands and understand skepticism from anybody these day's. I can prove everything I just told you and wish that I didn't have to ask for help like this but Like I said I am stuck without a solution to this mess. I have a very strong drive and have accomplished many things in life and have been well off for the most part, but my drive is dwendeling and I am depressed most day's. I have been out of my parent's house 13 times since Sept 6th of 2009. Sometimes it feel's like I will not make it through this but I am trying to keep my head up and look daily for way's to right my situation. I have finally gotten on food stamps and my kids mother has finally after about 19 year's started working and DHS sent me a debt/Mastercard for child support payment's, that has not kicked in yet, I guess it takes a while? (UPDATE On Child Support) Well like everything else I went through the motions did the paperwork and everything else and was told by DHS that I cannot get any of the Child Support, NONE OF IT because my children are over 18 pfffff!!!!! Oh well as with everything else that was a bust also and I'm not entitled to any of the money my kid's mother owes me for back child support, and she never paid me a dime!!!!! I also have been told by my DHS worker that as of September the 7th, that Obama's new health care reform allows unemployed people like myself even without having children under 18 in the home to get medicaid, so I'm trying to get that. I am no scammer and do not take this lightly asking for help, and if this offends you I am so sorry and wish no ill feelings. P.S. I have a very nice Professional BlackJack Table with all accessories and a motorcycle needs work that I could put up that I haven't been able to sell? Below in the pictures are from left to right Chris my oldest, Me before my disasterous cruise, Brandon (post strokes, and heart surgery) and then all three of us when chris came home for a visit. I don't have pictures of my daughter and have only seen her once myself when she was very young, however she will be coming to find me when she is of age. My kids need me emotionally and physically right now very much, Please help if you can and I will repay every dime!!!!
